Kensington residents and people travelling near UNSW will have a new late-night transport option when route 370 begins operating 24 hours a day.

From Sunday 15 November, the Coogee–Glebe Point route is scheduled to run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The NSW Government has announced 160 extra trips each week across the route, although the final departure times at individual Kensington stops require checking before travel.
The important detail is where the bus actually runs for Kensington commuters. The 370 does not follow the suburb’s Anzac Parade shopping strip towards the city. It crosses the area near the university and turns through the Todman Avenue corridor, connecting local passengers with destinations to the west.
Transport for NSW lists route 370 at the Todman Avenue stop after Anzac Parade. Its Kensington stop guide identifies that boarding point as stop 203328, with services towards Glebe Point, Redfern and Wolli Creek. The route also has a documented connection along High Street at the UNSW campus edge.
The change adds a different travel option to the L3 light rail line, which already runs through Kensington along Anzac Parade. The two services follow different paths and should not be treated as substitutes for every journey.

A different route from the Anzac Parade light rail
Kensington’s light rail stops include Kensington and UNSW Anzac Parade on the L3 Kingsford line. Route 370 instead links the university precinct and Todman Avenue with places including Green Square, Newtown and Glebe, as well as Coogee in the opposite direction.
A service advertised as operating 24 hours does not necessarily mean buses arrive at every stop at the same frequency overnight. Passengers should search their actual boarding stop and destination, particularly for trips shortly after midnight.
The 370 passes the university precinct, but the published announcement does not provide a Kensington-only count of extra trips. The 160 added weekly services apply to the whole Coogee–Glebe Point route, not exclusively to stops near UNSW or Todman Avenue.

Kensington’s transport connections are changing in other ways
The bus changes arrive while the suburb is also considering longer-term improvements to local streets. Randwick City Council’s Todman Avenue cycleway plans have included changes to crossings, accessibility and bus-stop arrangements along the corridor.
Those proposed street works are separate from the November timetable. They should not be confused with completed changes to the location of the 370 stop. Passengers need to follow current stop signage and Transport for NSW journey information rather than assume proposed relocations have taken effect.
Kensington’s local transport network already combines light rail, buses, walking routes and connections to the university. The planned 24-hour bus timetable adds another layer, but its usefulness for a particular journey will depend on the final stopping pattern and departure time.

What passengers should check before 15 November
The NSW Government has also announced 24-hour operation for route 343 between Kingsford and Circular Quay, with 113 extra weekly services. That is a separate corridor and does not mean the 343 will begin travelling directly through Kensington’s Anzac Parade town centre.
Transport for NSW has advised that industrial action beginning 4 November may cause some bus delays or cancellations across parts of Sydney. The industrial action and the upcoming service expansion are separate matters; the notice does not establish that any particular Kensington 370 departure has been cancelled.
Passengers can check the new 15 November journey in Transport for NSW’s Trip Planner or Opal Travel app, selecting their exact stop and travel date. For the Kensington-to-Glebe direction, Todman Avenue after Anzac Parade is identified as stop 203328. Updated stop signage and live alerts should also be checked before departure.
