A 46-year-old woman was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition after being struck by a ute in a Kensington service station driveway.
Emergency services responded about 9:40am on Monday, 24 August 2026, after reports of a collision involving a pedestrian in the driveway of Ampol Foodary Kensington, at the corner of Anzac Parade and High Street.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman at the scene before taking her to St Vincents Hospital. Police recorded her condition as serious but stable.
The service station is on Anzac Parade near Randwick Racecourse and the University of NSW.
Driver Taken For Mandatory Testing
A white BYD utility was involved in the collision. Its driver, a 39-year-old man, was the vehicle’s sole occupant.
He was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for mandatory testing following the incident.
Police Examine Kensington Service Station Scene
Eastern Beaches Police Area Command officers established a crime scene at the driveway after the collision.
Specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit later examined the location as inquiries continued into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The crime scene was packed up on Tuesday afternoon after the examination.
Investigators Seek Footage
Police appealed for anyone with information about the collision, including people with relevant dashcam or mobile phone footage, to contact Maroubra Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
